Ambassador Anders Thunborg visited Bulgaria from October 13 to 19, 2001 by invitation of the Center for the Study of Democracy, as a member to the International Steering Board of the Southeast European Legal Development Initiative.

The agenda of the visit, jointly prepared by the Center for the Study of Democracy and the Embassy of Sweden to Bulgaria, included meetings with senior government officials, local politicians, and diplomats.

During his stay Ambassador Thunborg delivered a lecture on the Role of NATO and the International Situation.
